Final Fantasy Versus XIII is a part of a 3 games in the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII compilation. Although this game is set in the same universe as the other two games, it is unrelated to any of the games in the compilation and therefore neither a sequel nor a prequel to any of the games.
From the trailer, you can see that the main protagonist is a hot young male that control several different kind of swords. The action sequence looks cool and the graphic is fabulous. No info on the gameplay and battle system though.
