American Idol 11 ~ Who's your favourite?

Anyone reading this watched American Idol Season 11? When this post was written, one person had already been eliminated from the Top 13. So who's your fave?

Personally, I love Phillip Phillips and Hollie Cavanagh. They both are talented and their performances were outstanding. I started to like Elise Testone after watching her semi-final round performance, where she sang One and Only by Adele with a piano. She sounded so good. I like her Top 13 performance too (she sang I'm Your Baby Tonight by Whitney Houston) although the judges didn't like it so much and so did America when she was placed in the bottom 2. Glad she didn't get booted off the show.

I started to like Jessica Sanchez too after her rendition of Whitney's I Will Always Love You. I didn't like her at first because she tend to go over the top with her songs but during Top 13 performance night, she kept her cool and sang beautifully. She was my 'goosies' moment of the night. Another surprise performance was from Deandre Brackensick. His rendition of Stevie Wonder's Master Blaster (Jammin') was really great. I almost got off my seat and dance.

I wonder if a male contestant would win again this season. There had been a male winner for the past 4 seasons! Hollie and Jessica seem to have big fan base, but so does it seemed for Phillip and Colton. Can the females rule this season? I wonder....

Exciting movies in March 2012

A few interesting movies are coming out this March. Here are the movies and why they excite me;

1) The Hunger Games

One of the most anticipated movie this year aside from all the other superhero movies. I'm looking forward to it because as you might already know, the novel written by Suzanne Collins that this movis is based on had received rave reviews when it was released. It's a story about a sick reality show in an alternate reality of our world. The movie starred Jennifer Lawrence (I love her in X-Men: First Class), Josh Hutcherson (I love him in Zathura and Journey to the Center of the Earth) and Liam Hemsworth (The Last Song).

2) The Woman in Black

I was looking forward for this movie because it is the first post-Harry Potter film for Daniel Radcliffe. I already watched it, and I'm not disappointed. It's a good movie with good acting. The plot flows very well and it doesn't feel like your regular horror movies where audience usually fall victim to cheap tricks. The scares in the film feel very genuine and you can hear your heart pounding even there's not a single ghost on screen. Good job Radcliffe for picking this film project, and good job to all the film crews and actors as well.

3) John Carter

I was very surprised to find that John Carter was actually based on a series of books first published 100 years ago. Wow. The film looks so futuristic and I wonder how the author, Edgar Rice Burroughs, came out with ideas for the books. The film will be directed by Andrew Stanton, the director of Pixar's Finding Nemo and WALL-E. Sound very promising, right?

4) Wrath of the Titans

This film is the sequel to Clash of the Titans that were released back in 2010. I like the first movie a lot, I like Sam Worthington too, and Rosamund Pike after watching her in Surrogates. I like Greek mythology as well, in modern movies or books at least. Great action, great special effects, a lot of reasons there, so I'm definitely going to watch this movie.
