I love Life!

I love this show! Life premieres on Starworld (Channel 711 Astro Malaysia) about a month ago. At first, I was quite skeptical. It looks like another cop-versus-criminal show, *yawn*. But I gave it a shot, sitting in front of the TV when its 1st episode aired and expecting myself to go to sleep halfway through the show. Boy I was wrong. This show is AWESOME!!!

Every week shows a different case, kind of the same with other cop series, but the similarity ends there. Throughout the show there are also flashbacks on events and interviews regarding the main character murder case. While investigating the cases, at the same time he is also investigating his OWN murder case that had put him in jail for several years.

The two main characters are Charlie Crews (played by Damian Lewis) and Dani Reese (played by Sarah Shahi). The actor and actress played their characters really well. Oh, and Sarah Shahi looks cute too. ;-P

Life airs every Tuesday on 9 p.m. Yes, it was last night. But don't worry, they got repeats on Saturday...or maybe Sunday...or maybe both days. Sorry guys, I don't quite remember. Better check the TV guide okay.

Thanks to NBC and Wikipedia for the pics.

Happy Labour Day in advance to all you guys! Have a great holiday. This is the last post for this week. See you again next week.

P/s : Iron Man out in cinemas today! Grab your armor and run to the movies now!

Dragonball movie in 2009

Just a quick post.

I was browsing the upcoming movies of 2008 in the local cinema website and I found out that Dragonball movie is slated to open in cinemas this year, in August I think. I'm like 'WHAT?'
I didn't hear any news about it and there is no buzz about the movie coming out this year. So there must be a mistake. I was right. It is a mistake.

According to this site (which is also where I got the pic from), the movie will be out in 2009, maybe March or April. So there is a Dragonball movie. I heard about it a few years ago and then nothing, so I thought it was canceled. Apparently not.

I hope the local cinema websites are more alert about this. I'm sure they don't want to give wrong information to their customers.

Visit the Dragon Ball Movie Blog for more news update on the film.

Early opening for Iron Man

Yup, you read it right. Be some of the first in the world to watch Iron Man in cinemas on 30th April 2008. Yes, it's opening this coming Wednesday in Malaysia!!! The movie won't be out in the US until 2nd May 2008. So Malaysians are quite lucky.

If you want to avoid the queues, you can book your tickets online by logging to GSC, TGV or Cathay website.

For now, here's the trailer for Iron Man. Enjoy!

Goodbye Carly....

I'm so sorry! I was supposed to post these pics last week but there was a blackout in my area, so I wasn't able to use the computer. Sorry again...

As I promised, here are the pics of AI7 Top 6 result show. It was a shocking night as the two best performers of the week were in the bottom 2, and unfortunately Carly Smithson was eliminated. Leona Lewis also performed that night singing her hit debut single, 'Bleeding Love'. She was great!

I was disappointed that Carly was out because I thought she could go far (as well as Michael Johns). It was sad to see her go.

I was also quite disturbed by Jason Castro attitude. He lacks empathy. He doesn't look sad and somewhat relieve that he wasn't in the bottom 2. I know he should be relived but I hope he doesn't showed it much on his face. But maybe he didn't intend to do that, maybe that's just who he is, a simple and cool guy. Nothing wrong with that I think...:-)

This week the remaining Idols will have Neil Diamond as their mentor. Don't forget to watch the show!

Shines in 'Light'

I need a smooth relaxing song to release the stress from the result show of AI7. What could be better than Utada Hikaru songs.

I love this one, Hikari (Light). The track was included in her Deep River album, my personally favourite album from Hikki. The concept for the MV is cool too, it's simple and nice. The track was also included in her Vol. 1 Collection. I feel so relax when I hear the songs from this album. Certainly one of the best song collection ever!

I already bought her latest album, Heart Station. It was an awesome album! I need to give it a couple more spins before I write the review for the album. I hope you guys looking forward to it!

Almost forgot. Thanks to J-pop CD Art for the album cover.

Here's the simple-&-nice MV of Hikari. Enjoy!

What happened to AI7?

What happened to the votes? Did they COUNT the votes properly? Did they EVER count the votes at all?

I'm so upset. Two contestants that gave the strongest performances (in my opinion) on Andrew Lloyd Webber night were in the bottom 2.

I cannot watch the result show tonight. I need to watch back the performance night to review back their performances. I'm sure the bottom 2 were at their best this week. Maybe I need to get my eyes and ears check (again!).

I will post the result photos tomorrow.

Performance show tonight at 8tv (Channel 708 Astro Malaysia), result show tonight at Starworld (Channel 711, Astro Malaysia).

I'm so upset. Did I just repeat myself?

Sunshine

I've been wanting to watch this movie. I missed it when it came out in cinemas last year because I was studying. I know that sound like an excuse but the problem is I studied in a place where there is no cineplex! So where am I going to watch it?!? 'Lucky' me.

Anyway, I was so excited when I first saw the trailer to this movie. The premise alone sound so exciting! I mean, the sun dies? I never thought of that before. I even made a project about the sun for one of the courses I took when I was in college. Talk about obsession.

Here's the clip that got me all excited. Another thing that got me thrilled is that one of the actress is Dato' Michelle Yeoh from Malaysia. Ah...I'm so proud. Oh, she will also be in the Mummy 3 movie, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor coming out in August 2008.

Sunshine will premieres in Star Movies (Channel 413, Astro Malaysia) in May. I'll be sitting in front of the TV when it premieres. If you cannot wait that long, head on to video stores and buy the VCD or DVD. I'm not sure about the DVD but I bet the VCD is cheap.

Thanks to this great site for the poster. You can also go here for the movie review.

So, enjoy the clip!

Love Namie!

I'm so frustrated! It's so hard to find Namie Amuro albums in my area. All I could find were her singles. Actually, I did found her album, but it's her older album, Queen of Hip Pop. I want to buy her latest album, Play!

She's currently busy promoting her triple A-side single, 60s 70s 80s. She's collaborating with Vidal Sassoon for their 'Fashion x Music x VS' campaign. Check out her videos at Veoh, they are so cool!

I tried to post her single Baby Don't Cry music video but I can't upload it. Weird. It's one of the singles that she included in her Play album. I like this song a lot. Sad that I can't share it with you guys. Why don't you guys check the MV out at Veoh. Just type Namie Amuro Baby Don't Cry at the search bar and you'll find it. Sorry I can't upload it. I tried...

One more thing. I found this CD cover of this single (pic above) in the Internet but it is not the same with the one I found in my area. I'm pretty sure the CD I found in Music Gallery (while I was browsing for her album) had her eyes closed on the cover, but this one she is wide awake! Why the different cover?!? I prefer this one (eyes open). ;-)

Anyway, if you like the song, go buy the single...or her album Play (if you could find them in your area of course).

Go Namie!

Sweet memories

Just want to share with you guys pics of Kapas Island (Pulau Kapas) in Malaysia. I was there last year spending my time together with my best friends. We swam till our skin burned, we played volleyball, we had barbecue, and we also played our own version of Survivor!

It was a fun vacation, and quite cheap too since we brought along our own food, and spend the nights in the camps (no resort please!). I wish I could go there again. ;-)

KLC~ The country girl

Here are the pics from the AI7 Top 7 result show.

I feel really sad to see Kristy go. I just started to like her. I know she did really bad in the 1st couple of weeks but she improved a lot. She was a real underdog, getting numerous negative comments from the judges and also fans of the show, but she kept on going. But now she's gone. Well, someone gotta go....

David Archuleta was really cute when he refused to choose a side when Ryan asked him which group he wanted to go. He sat in the middle of the stage instead! Really clever, and again, really cute. :-)

Don't forget to visit the official website for more news, photos and videos.

7 survivors

7 survivors left, who will be voted off next? I can't wait to watch the next episode tomorrow night. I'm sure there's gonna be more drama.

I post here the pics of 7 remaining survivors. Here are the names from top to bottom.

Amanda Kimmel
Courtney Yates
Denise Martin
Erik Huffman
James Clemet
Peih-Gee Law
Todd Herzog

The juries for now are Jaime Dugan, John-Robert and Frosti Zerno.
I hope fans of the show in Malaysia will not forget to watch it. It's on NTV7, every Saturday at 10.45 p.m.

Just a brief info, Amanda and James are still competing in Survivor Micronesia: Fans Vs Favorites. I would really like Amanda to win.

Thanx to CBS and this great site for the pics.

P/s: I miss Frosti!!!

Confusing votes

I was so confused. When she should be out, people vote for her. When she shouldn't be out, people doesn't vote for her. It should be the other way around. Yes, people. I'm talking about Kristy Lee Cook, the one who was eliminated from AI in Mariah Carey week.

I love David Cook performance this week. He really brings the song to another level. Really love it! My other favorite performances were from David Archuleta and Kristy Lee Cook. They sang really well!

Here is the list of who singing what.

Brooke White~ Hero
Carly Smithson~ Without You
David Archuleta~ When You Believe
David Cook~ Always Be My Baby
Jason Castro~ I Don't Wanna Cry
Kristy Lee Cook~ Forever
Syesha Mercado~ Vanishing

Hope next week will be much better.

Don't forget to watch the result show tonight on Starworld (Channel 711, Astro Malaysia). If you missed the performance night, tune in to 8tv (Channel 708, Astro Malaysia) tonight.

The girl from hell

Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl) is one of my favorite anime nowadays. The 2nd season currently aired on Animax (Channel 715, Astro Malaysia) for a third run already, I think.

Every episodes tell a different story but revolves around a same thing which is the Hell Girl. Apparently there is a website, the Hotline to Hell, that can only be accessed at midnight. If someone submit a person name that he/she have a grudge on, then Ai Enma, the Hell Girl will take them to hell. But there's a twist. The person who submit the name will also be taken to hell, but only after they die. Spooky eh?

I love this anime because it shows human dark side like greed and envy, and how people are becoming more and more corrupted with money and modern life. But usually the person who submit the name are the victims of such people. I usually take some time to think after each episode to truly understand the characters feelings and actions because there are a lot to learn from.

A great site I found (click here to go there) stated that the 3rd season has already got the green light to go for production. I'm so excited!!! When I read the comments people posted there, I also found out that someone had made a real Hotline to Hell that can only be accessed at midnight! (gasp!) I didn't try it yet but I hope someone will and verify it whether it's true or not. Go check it out ok. :)

I really recommend this anime to everyone out there. It's a great wake-up call.

The hot Lighting

Lighting is so HOT! I can't wait to see more of her in action.

As I promise, here is another trailer of Final Fantasy XIII. Enjoy!

Return to Narnia

The adventure continues! Narnia is coming to cinemas really soon. At first I wasn't so excited about the movie but after I watched the trailer, I can't wait to watch it! Hopefully this movie will come out in Malaysia at the same time with the US. I'm tired of waiting.

The summer movies are coming and this movie is just one of them. The tip of the iceberg I might say. Iron Man will kick-start the summer blockbuster run, and we also got The Mummy 3, Batman, Hellboy 2 and the highly-anticipated Indiana Jones 4 among others. For now, enjoy the clip!

Click here to go to the website where I got the poster above.
