xxxHOLIC premieres tonight

xxxHOLIC premieres tonight on Animax (Channel 715, Astro Malaysia). I'm not sure when is the time but I think it's in the Supernatural @ 10 slot, so I think it's on 10 pm. Better check your Astro Guide (for Malaysians) to get the time right.

I'm not so familiar with this series by CLAMP. I know Cardcaptor Sakura, Angelic Layer, Chobits and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle but not this one. So I hope it's a good series like the rest that I mentioned.

Thanx to Anime Mikomi for the pic. Click here to go to that page.

Can't wait for tonight!

*Update~ Sorry, my bad. It airs on 8 pm (Malaysia time), not 10 pm. Sorry again.

There goes the Beauty Queens

Pailin, one of my favorite racers in TARA 3 (and the one I have a crush on!) was eliminated as she and her teammate arrived last at the pit stop in the 3rd leg of the race. I admire her strength, spirit, patience and everything that I witness about her and I believe she can go farther if she had a better partner. I'm talking about you, Natalie. But I guess I kinda understand how Nat felt, she did not expect the race to be this hard and she just lost her will to race. At least she still voluntered to do the Roadblock task that required her to search for old coins that represents 7 Emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty in a vast area and then arrange them in order of their reign. She did tried her hardest, if not best, to do the task. In fact she went twice to the locations where she found the coins to get the correct order but the race was taking its toll on her and she failed to complete the task. I was amazed to see how patient Pailin was with Natalie. Yeah she looked dissapointed when they were eliminated but still she managed to keep her cool. I'm impressed! Lucky Nat to have such a nice and understanding friend like Pailin. And that's why I LOVE Pailin!

In this 3rd leg of the race, the racers went to Hue, Vietnam by bus. It takes 25 hours for them to reach there! And when they arrived, they found out that they need to change a tire and oil from a jeep. Then with the jeep, they made their way to Khai Dinh Tomb for their Roadblock task, the one that I had explained above. After that, they faced a Detour and had to choose between Sticks or Stalks. They need to make 10 incense sticks in Sticks task while in Stalks task, they must thrash rice stalks to collect 2 baskets of rice grains. All the teams picked Sticks while only Geoff and Tisha picked Stalks after having difficulty in making the incense sticks.

Next, they headed to Quoc Hoc Park. From there, they need to paddle a cycle rickshaw to the pit stop at Hue Citadel. The rickshaw was definitely hard to control because all the teams were strugling with it. Henry & Bernie even toppled over on the read. What an accident. I hope they were fine. But with all the bad luck they had with their vehicle, Henry & Bernie still managed to arrived 1st at the pit stop 2 times in a row. Congratulations!

The race is getting tougher and the racers are reaching their limits. I wonder what happened in the next episode?

Journey to the past

Last Saturday I watched Anastasia, the 1997 animated film by Fox Animation Studios in Star Movies (Channel 413 Astro Malaysia). I miss those days when animation were 2D and filled with lovely songs. I love this movie a lot so it's kinda reminds me of my sweet childhood memories when I watched it. I love all of the songs too. I wonder if I can still get the soundtrack in music stores?

Anyway, just for your information, this is a fiction story and Anastasia never survived the Russian Revolution. She was murdered along with her family by forces of Bolshevik secret police. You can read all about her in the Wiki page, simply click here.

I wonder if they would make this kind of movie nowadays. I think not.

Goodbye The Good Guys!

OMG. Did you guys watch TARA 3 episode 2 last night? What a tough race! Sweat, tears, bruises plus all the drama; anxiety, frustration, anger all mixed up.

As from previous season, the racers departed 12 hours after their arrival at the pit stop. Their 1st stop was at the Flight of the Gibon where they need to slide from trees to trees using the zip line. Look kinda fun! Then they made their way to a banana plantation for their 1st Road Block of this season. One member of the team need to get the clue from inside a hanging backpack. Sound easy but there were snipers hiding ready to shoot them using paintball gun. Once shot, they need to start back at the starting point. Although it was not real gun (thank God!), but still it can cause pain. Bernie even showed her bruises from the paintgun. Ouch!

Next stop, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam (cool!). In Vietnam, they played a Nokia handphone game, did their Detour task (which was between transporting fruits on a sampan and row across a river to a designated fruit stall or gathering 20 chickens and bring them to a designated retailer at a market), and did some charity work. Impressive! If it was me, I would be dead from exhaustion, seriously!

In the end, William & Isaac who came last at the 2nd pit stop of the race were eliminated. Since the 1st leg of the race was an elimination round so I thought it will be a non-elimination round for the 2nd leg. Looks like I was wrong. So we had to say goodbye to William & Isaac or should I call the Good Guys team because they are good (and cute) guys. I hope they had a wonderful experience from this competition.

And congratulations to Henry & Bernie for arriving 1st at the pit stop. You guys are really competitive. Good job!

A sneak peek at 3rd episode shows that there are some accidents involved, and one of the team looks like Ida & Tania (gasp!). I hope they were all right.

The race sure going to be tougher....

Hunters VS Chimera Ants

This is the latest manga of Hunter X Hunter that is available in Malaysia, which is Vol. 25 (sorry for the blur pic). This is one of my favorite manga series so waiting for the next issue to come out is kinda painful. The hiatus that have been associated with this series makes it worst. From what I read, the latest hiatus started in mid-May 2008 and the series will return in October 2008. I hope this is true because I'm dying to know what happen next.

For those who are new to the series, Hunter X Hunter tells the story of our young protagonist, Gon and his adventures to become a great hunter and also to find his long-lost father, Ging. Other main characters include Kirua, a young fighter from a famous family of assassins; Kurapika, the only survivor of the Kurta clan; and Leorio, a street smart Hunter who wants to become a doctor to help the poor.

The latest story arc is about a group of Chimera Ants that has taken over a country. They are actually some type of human + animal hybrid and are very powerful and dangerous. The Ant King wants to take over the world and the Hunters must stop him and his Royal Guards and other minions.

In the latest issue, Vol. 25, the Hunters start to infiltrate the King palace and battle the Ants. It's going to be tough fighting the 3 Royal Guards, and I'm not even sure if they can kill the Ant King. Things are definitely going to be more interesting in the next volume. I wonder who will win?

I hope I don't have to wait long for the next issue.

What an AMAZING race!

Did u guys watch The Amazing Race Asia Season 3 last Thursday? All I can say was "WOW!" It was an awesome episode, truly an amazing season premiere.

The racers started off in Thailand and the 1st pit stop was also in Thailand. So I guess they will fly to another country in the next episode. In this leg of the race alone, they had to eat 'weird' delicacies (fried bugs, frogs and scorpions anyone?), wash a dirty bus, find a clue among hundreds of statues, and choose between a buggie race or pound rice to make rice balls. Neena & Amit from India who were the last to arrive at the pit stop were eliminated. Kinda shocking because usually the 1st leg is a non-elimination round. Well, I guess they change it a little to give the audience and racers a little surprise.

One more important thing, did u guys notice who was with Allan at the pit stop? It was Paula from TARA Season 2!!! OMG, I love her! She's so pretty, and a tough girl too. I miss seeing her in the race.

This episode alone was pretty wild, I wonder what will happen in episode 2. There will be a 90-minutes special for episode 2 this Thursday on AXN. I have a bad feeling about this because I think some bad things happen to the racers. I hope I'm wrong.

Anyway, I hope u guys won't miss the next episode. It's going to be wilder! And to Neena & Amit, I hope u guys had such a good experience in the 1st leg of the race.

Who will be eliminated next?

Give me some privacy please....

Been really really really busy in the office lately so didn't have much time to post. Sorry....

One of my friend keep asking me to post something about my personal life here. I couldn't! I'm not ready to reveal stories about my personal life here. Besides, this is an entertainment blog and nothing is entertaining about my life. Sorry Halim....:-P

But I did come up with this new personal tag so that I can tell u guys more about what's happening in my life. Nothing too personal but I think this is good enough.

So, you guys like the cute pics that I post here? I've been digging all the old mails that I haven't read yet in my inbox and found these cute cats. My sister send it to me, in 2006 I think. Well, there are a lot of emails that I didn't open and I'm glad I didn't throw this away without opening it first. I wonder whose cats are these? So adorable!

Thanx sis!

TARA's Racers Revealed tonight

For those The Amazing Race Asia fans out there, don't forget to watch TARA Season 3 Racers Revealed tonight on AXN (Channel 701 Astro Malaysia). You will get to know the contestants for this season and their relationships.

I didn't realize Bernie Chan was also in the contestants list for Malaysia's teams. I only mention Ida Nerina, Malaysian actress, in my previous post on TARA before. For Malaysians, Bernie Chan is also a regular face in the entertainment industry. She starred in a lot of sitcoms and hosted several shows, one of them was Project Runway Malaysia. Sorry Bernie, I didn't notice you were participating in TARA Season 3 too.

The Amazing Race Asia Season 3 will premiere with its 1st episode next Thursday. Gear up guys for another amazing adventures.

The Holy Month

Happy Ramadhan to all Muslims around the world. Happy fasting too. Just remember, fasting is not just about not eating but it's also about resisting oneself from other temptations. It's a month to teach yourself about patience and humility which has been degrading in human beings these days (I'm sure you've noticed). So, pray genuinely hard.

May Allah bless all of you. Amin.

A.D.D. this to your collection

I don't know why this album is not popular. This is probably the most creative album that I had ever heard in my life so far. So maybe the cover is a little bit weird but it didn't deny the fact that this is indeed a great album.

Audio Day Dream is Blake Lewis' first effort post-Idol. Although many people tend to look past this album just because of the cover, but I can assure you that there are plenty of good songs in it. In fact, I like all of the songs! Some of my favourites are Break Anotha, How Many Words, Surrender, Without You, Here's My Hello, End of the World and I Got U. There are also some pics of Blake and lyrics for several of the songs in the inside leaflet. The leaflet also has a simple design which I don't mind since the songs are the strong features of the album.

I can't wait for his next album. I hope it will turn out as good, interesting and creative as this first effort. Blake and all of the people behind this album had done a great job. Well done, guys!

Now, after reading my review, don't YOU wanna buy this album???
