My FFXII disc won't load!!!

Can you imagine how frustrating it is when you invested so much in a game just to have the disc stuck in the middle of the game? Well, that's what happened to me. My Final Fantasy XII disc won't load after I enter certain part of the game. I had only play it halfway through story-wise but I had spent more than 96 hours on it. I am so frustrated right now. Oh well, guess I have to play something else before I buy a new one. Wait...does that mean I have to start from scratch again? (gasp!)
