The strongest team???...A race to India!
I'm happy, ecstatic, impressed, sad and shocked, all at the same time. Wanna know why? Continue on reading.
Last night episode of TARA 3 was such a roller-coaster ride. First off, teams were faced with Roadblock where one member from each team was required to do a bungee jump off Macau Tower. Scary! Geoff & Tisha who were the 1st to complete the task (with Tisha doing the high jump - she looks cute when she was scared) were given an exclusive helicopter ride from Macau to Hong Kong. Lucky them. While the rest of the teams had no choice but to travel by ferry to get back to Hong Kong.
Then they headed to the MASkargo warehouse for their next task, which was to find a box containing their names. In that box were letters for them from home. This scene was quite touching as the racers read aloud the letters sent by their relatives.
Teams then headed to Cochin, India. Wrong choice of flight left Henry & Bernie and Sam & Vince far behind the other teams. Geoff & Tisha who arrived way early than the rest had the chance to relax at a hotel before headed to a temple (that will only open at 6 a.m.) for their next clue.
After they had a good luck blessing at the temple, they headed to Kumbalam for a bizarre task, wash an elephant using dry coconut shells! Ida & Tania who arrived there 1st were lucky because their elephant submerged into the water and basically washed most of the mud and dirt away. They have been very lucky lately.
Next, a Detour. This time, teams must pick between Fish and Fill. In Fish, teams must deliver 6 fishes, each weighing 20kg, to a seafood restaurant. In Fill, teams have to use coloured rice powder to completely fill an intricate geometric column design drawn on the floor. Geoff & Tisha and Sam & Vince chose Fish while the rest of the teams chose Fill. After that, it was a race to the pit stop which was at the Bolgatty Palace.
Ida & Tania who were hoping to reach 1st at the pit stop were disappointed to find out that they were only 2nd to arrive behind Geoff & Tisha. Because of that, they were given 30-minute time penalty (they were last in the previous leg but were not eliminated. Instead, they must arrive 1st in this leg or they will be given 30-minute time penalty).
While serving their time penalty (I made it sound like prison, sorry!), A.D. & Fuzzie arrived at the pit stop and were the 2nd team to check in. Luckily, no other teams arrive during that time and Ida & Tania were the 3rd team to check in at the pit stop. Amazing! Way to go girls! The 4th team to arrive were Sam & Vince while the 5th and last team to arrive was Henry & Bernie. Therefore, Henry & Bernie were eliminated from the race.
Shocking rite? I always thought that Henry & Bernie was one of the strongest team in this race. The other team would be Geoff & Tisha but you didn't quite see it at first because of the constant tension between them. But now with the improving relationship and stress-control between the couple, Geoff & Tisha were getting stronger. Congratulations to both of them for coming in 1st at the pit stop for 2 consecutive time.
I'm happy and ecstatic that Tania & Ida were still in the race. I'm impressed by their determination. I'm also impressed with A.D & Fuzzie that they managed to come this far (which proves that you don't have to be physically fit to be in this race - maybe I should apply for TARA 4!). I'm sad and shocked that Henry & Bernie were eliminated. I had this kind of heavy feeling in my chest when I watched that scene. So painful.... Well Geoff & Tisha, this race might just be yours.
To Henry & Bernie, as a Malaysian, I'm very proud of your achievement and determination in this race. You guys have really done it well. Cheers to the effort!
P/S: Forgot to mention that I'm impressed with Vince too. He carried 2 fishes, which means he had about 40kg on his shoulders at 1 time. He's a Hulk!

Harry is here
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix had premiered on HBO (Channel 411 Astro Malaysia) last Sunday. Unfortunately the movie will only be showed on TV from 26 Oct to 2 Nov 2008. So if you haven't watch it, where have u been?!? It will only last 1 week and you have several days left. You better check the TV schedule and see when is the next show.
My favourite part in this movie is (of course!) the furious duel between Albus Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort. And I love Ginny! She's so cute and a talented wizard.
I'm still disappointed when they (whoever that is) postponed the release of Harry's next movie. Oh well, at least I have Order of the Phoenix to accompany me this whole week.

From Hong Kong to Macau
Before I start, I want to apologize for the blurry pictures. I can't find nicer pics from the official site. I don't know what happen to the photographer. Thankfully we still got pics (although they are video cap) so we have to be grateful. ;-)
Okay, move on with the race. First thing teams gotta do in this leg was delivering 2 bags of fishes (ornamental fish, not dead fish for eating) to a designated pet shop. After that, they must make their way to Macau by ferry and then travel by pedicab to the fountain in Senado Square for their next clue.
The next clue stated that they need to go to Macau Tower and there was also a Yield ahead. Sam & Vince who were 1st arrived at the Yield chose not to use the Yield but Geoff & Tisha who arrived there 2nd yielded Henry and Bernie. Henry seemed really pissed off while Bernie seemed calm. Good girl Bernie!
At the Macau Tower, teams must perform a Roadblock, which was (one of the team member) to climb the tower to retrieve the next clue. After that, they must make their way to the Dragon Boat Pier at Sai Van Lake. At the lake, teams must paddle a dragon boat around the buoy in the lake and return to the pier.
Next, a Detour. Teams must choose between Dance or Chance. In Dance, teams must learn and complete a lion dance routine while in Chance, teams have to dress in formal attire and play a blackjack game in which they must win it 9 times and spell the word COMPLETED in order to get their next clue (they will be given one letter each time they win). All teams chose Chance while only Geoff & Tisha chose Dance, which in my opinion was a wise decision.
After that, they must make their way to A-Ma Culture Village which was the pit stop of this leg of the race. But before that, they must complete a task which was to arrange 12 lanterns, which were painted with animals from the 12 Chinese Zodiac, in a correct order. Geoff & Tisha were 1st to arrive at the pit stop followed by Sam & Vince, A.D. & Fuzzie, Henry & Bernie and lastly, Ida & Tania, making this their 2nd time to arive last at the pit stop. However, this leg was a predetermined non-elimination leg and therefore they were not eliminated. Thank God again! I would be so devastated if they were eliminated. However, Ida & Tania must arrive first in the next leg or they will have to take a 30-minute penalty.
Geoff & Tisha won themselves a Sony Bravia TV and a Sony Playstation 3 each for winning this leg. OMG, I want them too!!! In this episode, we can also see the tension that building up between Geoff & Tisha and Henry & Bernie. There were also some funny moments, one of them was when A.D & Fuzzie wore the formal attire to play the blackjack. Bernie kept teasing them and it was so funny. They look hot though. ;-D
One of the anonymous visitor to this blog also alerted me on the nasty comments that have been popping up on the official TARA site. C'mon guys, it was just a race. I know everyone being patriotic and all that stuff but please try to avoid hate comments. It's not healthy....
I wonder if Ida & Tania will survive the next leg? I hope they did. Can't wait for Thursday.

Yahoo! Users Top 30 horror movies
Halloween is around the corner and for that reason Yahoo! had listed out the Top 30 horror movies based on the ratings that had been given by its users. Below are the Top 5;
And below are the rest of the movies that made it into list.
6. Alien
7. Shaun of the Dead
8. Saw II
9. The Orphanage
10. The Exorcist
11. Dracula
12. American Psycho
13. Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn
14. Evil Dead
15. The Lost Boys
16. Frankenstein
17. The Thing
18. Night of the Living Dead
19. Nightmare of elm Street
20. Misery

22. Saw
23. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
24. The Birds
25. Carrie
26. Scream
27. Underworld
28. Dawn of the Dead (2004)
29. Poltergeist
30. Friday the 13th
I had only watched about half of the movies in the list and some of my favorite are Dawn of the Dead (2004), Poltergeist, Scream and Saw. I wonder how Alien got into the list, I thought that movie was more to sci-fi than horror. Anyway, some other horror movies that are my favorite but not listed in the list are House of Wax (2005), Night of the Living Dead (1990) and Urban Legend.
There are a lot of cool horror movies in Asia too. Some of the popular one that were made into Hollywood remake are The Ring (Japan), Ju-on (Japan) and Shutter (Thailand). But my favorite Asian horror movies are One Missed Call (Japan) and Long Khong (Thailand). Korea have several cool horror movies too like A Tale of Two Sisters (I like this!), Phone, Doll Master and Face. Malaysia have Jangan Pandang Belakang (translated as Don't Look Back) and Congkak. Indonesia, Philippines and Singapore have their own popular horror movies too.
Asians can never seem to get bored of horror movies. I don't know about you but I think it's fun to be spooked off whether in the cinema hall or in front of the TV.

Trees + Art
I was digging my old emails again and found this one email that a friend of mine sent to me about 2 years ago. I don't know how I missed this! Anyway, these trees look really cool. I don't know whether these pictures are real or not but as far as quality concerns, I think these pictures are real. I'm not sure how she got them, maybe one of her friends forwarded them to her and so she forwarded them to me and a few other friends. That's so nice of her. Okay, so I'm like 2 years late but...thank you for sharing these!

Vote with style
This week on America's Next Top Model, the girls had a photo shoot that revolves around political issues. Some of the issues were military, security, illegal immigrants, bureaucracy and privacy. Some girls did good while some of them struggled.
There are some girls that I like and they are Sheena, Elina, Analeigh the skater, Brittany and McKey the boxer. But based on this photo shoot, my favorite are Elina, Brittany and Isis the
transgender.
I'm really impressed with Isis. She's very determined and she looks like she knows how to model. She didn't care about the nasty things that the other girls said about her, she just want to win this competition, and I think she has a chance.
Marjorie is funny. She always seem nervous and insecure. But I kinda like her, she seems like a nice person. According to Tyra, the first girl to be called each week will have her picture displayed in the house as digital art and Marjorie was the lucky girl this week. I thought Elina or Isis will be called first because I personally think they're pictures are good. Looks like Marjorie has a hidden talent here. All she needs now is self-confidence. Way to go girl!
First to be eliminated is Sharaun. I know she's kinda annoying with her I'm-the-America's-Next-Top-Model comment but I don't think her picture is the worst one this week. I think Clark has a dead impression in her picture. But I'm no expert so Sharaun was sent home. Maybe the judges think she doesn't have what it takes to be America's Next Top Model, looks and behaviour wise. Or maybe it just bad karma for saying nasty things to Isis. ;-P

Hectic in Hong Kong
Thank God it's a non-elimination leg.
From Taiwan to Hong Kong. Yes, you read it right. The remaining teams went to Hong Kong for the 6th leg of the race. First, they headed to King's Park Sports ground to get their clue. But to get it they must get through a rugby field while a rugby team was playing there. Tricky!
Next, a Detour. This time they must choose between Get Fishy or Get Lucky. In Get Fishy, teams must clean, scale and gut 15 fishes before they can get their next clue. In Get Lucky, teams must bite open 300 fortune cookies and find the right fortune before they can get their next clue. All teams picked Get Lucky except for Henry & Bernie who chose Get Fishy. Get Fishy looks a little bit difficult than Get Lucky but since Henry is a chef, so I guess they didn't have any major problem with the task.
Then came a Roadblock. In this Roadblock, teams must pick one handbag from a selection of handbags hanging from the clue box and find a woman who is carrying a matching handbag in the Ladies Market. A little bit tricky since the place was crowded with people. Sam & Vince were lucky since they arrive a little bit early and there was still not so many people there. After they find the woman, they will get their next clue which told them that they must head for the pit stop at Blake Pier in Stanley Bay.
First to arrive at the pit stop were Sam & Vince, followed by Henry & Bernie, Geoff & Tisha and A.D. & Fuzzie. The last team to arrive was my favourite team, Ida & Tania. I was so sad! But like I said, thank God it's a non-elimination leg. Ida & Tania was still in the race but they were asked to give up all their money. I wonder how can they survive without money?
I still couldn't figure out who will win this race. It looks like all the teams have equal chance of winning this. Henry & Bernie, consistent. Sam & Vince, getting better and better. Geoff & Tisha, they have learned to work together (and of course there's the LOVE factor, lol). A.D. & Fuzzie, they proved they don't have to run to still be in the race. Last but not least, Ida & Tania, they are determined, strong-willed women and they showed us the true meaning of friendship.
I think the teams will fly farther in the next leg, Europe maybe?

Britney is back!!!
OMG!!!!! Britney is back guys!!! I'm so relieved to see she's all good and sexy. I can't wait for her new album, Circus, to come out this 2nd December 2008. I'm not sure whether Malaysia and other countries in Asia will have the same release date as the US but as long as it will arrive here, I don't really care!
You can watch the sexy Brit in her new video, Womanizer, at her official site. She's nude, so I hope those below the legal age, please ignore this link. Otherwise, click here or the link below to go to her official website at Jive Records. Of course you can also watch it here. Just scroll down and you will find it at the end of this post.
Britney Spears- Jive Records
But, if you want to watch the vid AND get to know the hunky male model in the vid (his name is Brandon Stoughton btw), you can click here or the link below to go to the site that have the details. Again, this site is STRICTLY for those above the legal age (18+ or 21+ depends on the country), and also for those who are gay-tolerent. Don't say I didn't warn u.

This song is sooooo suitable for Brit's no-good ex-husband. I dedicate this song to him.

Who's next?
So I guess you guys know already that America's Next Top Model Cycle 11 premiered on Channel V last Sunday on 9 p.m. Hong Kong & 10 p.m. Malaysia. While I'm happy that we get to watch a cycle that doesn't even end it's run yet in the US (because previously we always like 1 cycle behind here in Malaysia) but I was also disappointed that they skip Cycle 10. I know they want to catch up with the latest cycle but it doesn't feel right. We don't know the girls from Cycle 10 (except those who had Internet TV or Singapore cable) so it would be frustrating when they mention the girls from Cycle 10 because we don't know who they are!
I really hope they would air Cycle 10 eventually, maybe after this Cycle 11 ends. Then I wouldn't feel so left out. :-(
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
A new Spider-Man game is coming out this October, well in the US at least. Might take some time before it reach Asia.
In this game, Spidey would have to battle his greatest enemy, Venom. It looks like Venom is cloning himself and infects the citizens! Can Spidey stop him??? Well, that's depend on how good you are in playing this game. There are several endings and apparently YOU, yes you the gamer, will decide which path would Spidey go.
I didn't even know this game is coming out (well, I'm not a true gamer) until I visit this cool site. You can watch the trailer for this game there and decide for yourself if you want this game in your collection. For me, it looks kinda cool but I've tried Spidey game before and I didn't like it (because I'm so bad with the controls, haha!).
Just click here to go there. You should really watch the trailer. It looks good.

Celebrity Apprentice ~ Battle of the celebrities
We're back in the boardroom!
The 7th season of The Apprentice, or better known as The Celebrity Apprentice, premiered on Malaysian television last night. At first, I didn't want to watch it because I don't feel like I'm into The Apprentice anymore. But after a few minutes of watching it, I was glued to the couch for the entire hour. Hey, this is quite good! They are playing for charities this time and although some of the 'celebrities' were unknown to me but hey, it was fun watching them.
Tiffany Fallon, a Playboy Playmate, was the 1st celebrity to get fired. I kinda like Tiffany, she doesn't look or even act like what I think a Playboy Playmate should. And she's beautiful too. ;-)
For this episode, the celebrity were selling hot dogs. The all-male team, or Hydra, won this task beating the all-female team, or Empresario. Hydra used their celebrity status to raise money while the project manager for Empresario, Omarosa (yeah guys, she's back) thought that they shouldn't. I don't know why Tiffany was blamed when Empresario lost this task. It was Omarosa's decision of not using their celebrity status that killed them. Well, maybe Mr. Trump thought Omarosa was tougher than Tiffany, business wise. Anyway, I still like Tiffany.
If u missed this episode, u can always visit the website for episode recap, just click here to go there. But for those who still doesn't know who won this show, it might just killed the fun.
Watch The Celebrity Apprentice every Wednesday, 11 p.m. on StarWorld (Channel 711, Astro Malaysia).
